   Proposal Description:
   The purpose of the proposed study is to better understand the nature of the differences in memory and executive functioning testing performance as well as identify differences in patterns of social behavior between patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and behavioral-variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD).    Specific aims of the proposed study are as follows:    1. Compare neuropsychological test performance on measures of memory and executive functioning between the two groups    2. Compare the presence of social behaviors (i.e. disinhibition) between the two groups    3. Replicate existing findings in the literature and expand on current literature that investigates the relationships between memory, executive functioning, and social behavior in AD and bvFTD and to test the hypothesis that there is a greater interaction between executive dysfunction and social behaviors (i.e. disinihibition) in bvFTD than in AD.
